The station is nice and bright and convenient for all local amenities, only a short walk from Stirling Castle.

I Often collect train tickets at my local station, Stirling, pre booked on line and without fail get redirected to the ticket machine to enter the code and collect them myself which takes me some time as my eyesight is not great now I'm getting on a bit and not too great with automatic machines but usually ticket clerks begrudgingly oblige. Today hit a new low as the woman who served me, after queuing to get to her window refused to issue me my paid for ticket and told me to get to the back of the queue at the ticket machine and get them myself, I explained that I wasn't comfortable using the machine, she said that I managed to book them online, I explained that someone else did that for me so she helpfully told me that I'd just have to manage. I told her that I was dyslexic so she kindly called out " oh dyslexic are you, why didn't you say that in the first place" then she kindly did what she's getting paid for and issued me my ticket. I'm glad that there were only 30 people or so to witness it. She wasn't exactly young herself so maybe she'll need help one day. So if you get to a window in Stirling and oversize glasses stare back at you and you need more than one button pressed to issue your ticket and if you've got a disability that isn't plainly obvious start the conversation by letting her know what disability you have so she can let everybody else know, and try to get there in the rush hour when there are most people about to maximise your embarrassment.

Good Central railway station well kept and clean with good security staff, historic building as you can see with the picture I put up from the 1920's, plenty of platforms, waiting rooms, toilets and a shop for anything you may need but not the cheapest

Good links to all over the country,a busy station at times

F****** love Stirling
