Cosy Country pub near the Wallace monument with amazing views. Friendly staff and lovely food. Highly recommend this pub
Had an excellent meal today. Staff were very efficient and courteous. Christmas dinner was was delicious. 5 Stars to the chef, kitchen and bar staff too.
Although the service was slow, the food was nice. To make it easier we had all ordered before hand as we were having a Christmas lunch to be starting at 1230. I managed to get dessert before rushing off at 1415. Missed the coffee though.
A welcoming place with plenty of seating and a large bar. We popped in on a Monday night, no reservations. No problem. Food service was slow (for everyone, it seemed) but the food that came out was good pub food. Large whisky selection at good prices. They have 4 compass box releases! Sadly, I had to ask the staff to fish out the ice they put in my drink. I should have known better and specified. They probably should have also known better too. All in all, everything was good enough.
First time to visit the Birds and the Bees, and will not be the last.Welcomed from friendly staff, felt was genuine.Nice setting old fashioned but think that's part of decor, does not look dated.Nice lunch menu, just the right choice to pick from. I went for the chicken satay and wife tried the pulled pork burger, and neither was disappointed, portion sizes were also perfect for lunch time.A++++++++++
