Got my first practice chanter from Alan, I gotta say he's very knowledgeable in his craft!He's super helpful and friendly, explained to me the basics and shared some tips and tricks. My bagpipe will definitely be from his shop. Highly recommended

The Owner, Alan, is an incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic bagpipe player and maker. A quaint shop encourages questions about bagpipe styles and history and Alan is more than happy to explain about either. Well worth a look.
Alan is a charming fellow and a true craftsman. The customer service was incredible. He was incredibly patient and happy to discuss the merits of my options at each step. Which woods were tougher, which would stand up better in heat, showed me samples of different metals with each wood type, what style of cover I should have, the different drones available. He was also full of stories about the pipes, pipers, and other interesting bits of history.When I came back to pick up the finished pipes he made sure I didn't leave the shop without some instruction in how to take them apart, pack them safely, put them back together, and get started playing. While I certainly didn't leave the shop a master, I knew what to do next.From start to finish I felt that Alan honestly cared about the kind of experience I would have with my pipes. Four months later I still love them!
