Fantastic Castle. The Tapestry exhibit is fascinating and the tapestries are incredible. The kitchen exhibits are amazing. Worth the trip. In the Footsteps of John Muir, An Exhibit by Scottish Photographer Ken Paterson was wonderful. The photos were truly brilliant.

I'd never been here before but all our party of four found the visit really interesting and worthwhile. The party included a history teacher and a keen amateur historian plus a couple of interested other folk!! We were staying in Glasgow and Stirling is handy by car. It was an easy journey by motorway. The audio tour worked very well and the guides were excellent. The castle is steeped in Scottish history, being a royal castle and everything was explained really well. Staff or volunteers in costume were knowledgeable and interesting to listen to.To sum up, this place is worth visiting but... Come early if you come by car and research your parking beforehand, it's worth it!!!By the way, there's a good caf with some really nice food!!!! Just saying... Some good places to eat in town too

Stunning. Well kept. All exhibitions are worth visiting. Seeped in history, particularly military. The audio guide is highly recommended as it gives you plenty of user information - particularly handy if it is cold and you dont want to flip pages in your guide book to get the relevant background. Plan for at least 2hrs to see all.

Could be a perfect day out in a sunny day.The location is terrific. You will have awesome view from their. many guides are their and you will find them so enthusiastic while telling them the glory of the castle.

Brilliant tourist attraction. The guided tour which comes as part of the admission price was brilliantly done. Access to the buildings could not be better. Especially enjoyed being able to sit in the thrones. The cafe is very good.
