Love this place! If you like to be surrounded by nature, mature trees, red squirrels, plus a clean and well maintained site with a cracking play area for the kids.
A well kept site, you have the choice of pitching up inside the walled garden or the paddock beside Childrens play area, the toilets and showers are absolutely spotless, great if you have children as there is trees to climb and the park to play on
Welcoming site with very clean, modern facilities. The childrens playpark is one of the best I have come across while camping and the woods offer a great oppurtunity for exploring and games; my 5 year old grandson loved it, especially as we we able to see Chimp Island. The caravan/motorhome part looked busy but camping section very quiet with plenty space. There is a little chippy van that comes on a Friday and Saturday which had delicious food. A little information room has many leaflets and information on the area as well as games and books while the shop is well supplied and resonably priced. Staff lovely, helpful and informative. Will definatly be back.
Lovely site this, we stat here on our way up to JOG, our plans meant that we arrived late but after speaking to the lady on the phone earlier in the day this wasnt a problem, i just paid at reception in the morning. Very clean showers and site, always really quiet here and perfect in my opinion. Huge bonus is that you're minutes from all the tourist attractions in Stirling and major road connections with plenty of options for the road trip!! :-)
This is a lovely affiliated site. Set in & around what was I presume a walled garden long ago. It's very sunny and hot with not a lot of shade, so pick your pitch carefully if you don't like too much sun. The facilities are very good, spacious & clean. Very friendly staff with a good on site shop with the basics.There is a beautiful on site walk for dog walkers, through the old gardens, don't miss it even if you don't have a dog. This also leads to Smiddys farm shop & cafe, not to be missed.Lovely base to explore the area.
